I was born in Argentina in 1948 and I emigrated to the United States in 1977. I am a life-long artist and teacher with a passion for cooking, tango music, wine, art, and friendship. My artistic media include oil and acrylic paintings, clay works, prints and multimedia images, photography, and sculpture. When I create art it is a journey of discovery, feeling, memory, and fantasy.
My artistic work represents in part the work and history of my youth as a native of Argentina with its diverse culture and artistic tradition. I traveled and learned art from South American teachers, from the peoples of my country, and the colors of the landscapes that surrounded me. As a result, Latin American culture and religion have both inspired and influenced my work significantly. They shape the way I use color, pattern, texture, and symbols. Similarly, they are visible in the way I express myself in my paintings, prints, and clay works. I have a recent series of sculptures that represent humor and imagination and which surprise the viewer with the unusual facial expressions of the sculptures.
My recent paintings explore the richness and diversity of the world around us, from the fruits in the garden to the flowers in the jungle. They invite the viewer to savor their own sensuality as they view the colors and textures of the world with fresh eyes.
I am a retired art teacher who taught art for 32 years at The Bush School in Seattle, WA and a life-long artist who creates clay works, paintings, prints, and multi-media works, and other forms of art. Recently, I’ve shown at the Art Not Terminal Gallery in Seattle. You can contact me via email to inquire about prices for my existing art work and to have me create art work to meet your personal or professional needs.
